Use the Chrome extension to export followers/following for an Instagram account.
How to install the Chrome extension
Download the extension
Click the "Add to Chrome" button on the Accounts page, or download instatracker-extension.zip from the GitHub releases page.
Unzip the downloaded file
Extract the zip to a folder on your computer (e.g. ~/Downloads/instatracker-extension).
Open Chrome extensions page
Go to chrome://extensions in your browser address bar.
Enable Developer Mode
Toggle the "Developer mode" switch in the top-right corner.
Load the extension
Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped extension folder.
How to use
Navigate to Instagram
Open instagram.com in Chrome and make sure you're logged in.
Open the InstaTracker extension
Click the InstaTracker icon in your Chrome toolbar (you may need to pin it first).
Enter a username to track
Type the Instagram username whose followers/following you want to snapshot (without the @).
Export followers, following, or both
Click the corresponding button. The extension will slowly scrape the list (2-4s per page) to avoid rate limits. Progress is shown in the popup.
View results on this dashboard
After the export completes, the snapshot is sent to this dashboard automatically. Come back here to see the data, timeline of changes, and compare accounts.
Tips
Take snapshots regularly
The more often you snapshot, the more accurately InstaTracker can tell you when someone followed or unfollowed.
Don't rush it
The extension intentionally goes slow. If you get rate-limited (429), it will automatically wait 60 seconds and retry.
Large accounts take longer
An account with 10,000 followers will take ~10-15 minutes to export at 50 users per page with delays.
